DESCRIPTION:

The SE400 circular saw is a high-performance industrial system for pipe cutting. G.B.C. Industrial Tools executed the project entirely based on specific customer requirements.

This machine is not part of our standard catalog product range; rather, it is the result of a specific custom engineering study developed to meet precise operational needs in industrial pipe processing. Specifically, the pipe-cutting unit was custom-configured to operate with maximum accuracy within a dedicated workspace designed for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloy piping, covering an outside diameter range of 3.5″ to 4″.

 

Stationary architecture and cutting performance of the SE400 circular pipe sawing machine.

In terms of structural configuration, the SE400 is a stationary machine designed for fixed installation within production lines or workshop manufacturing departments.

While portable cutting systems offer the flexibility needed to handle continuous, heavy-duty operations, the rigid, robust stationary architecture of this new machine has been specifically engineered to maximize productivity. This highly stable structure ensures not only a high production rate over time but also impeccable pipe quality: technically perfect, burr-free cuts and a superior-quality finish.

The cutting process is performed by a rotating circular blade with a 400 mm diameter, driven by a dedicated 4.5 kW electric motor. The blade’s rotational speed is variable, ranging from 0 to 123 RPM.

 

Automatic operating cycle and PLC control.

The operating cycle of the SE400 circular saw is characterized by a high level of automation and ease of operation.

The machine performs cutting operations fully automatically. The operator sets the desired length for the cut tube sections, after which the process is electronically managed and executed via a control panel equipped with a PLC.

Tube feeding and the subsequent clamping and cutting phases are handled by dedicated electronic vices.

To preserve the integrity of the material being processed, the aluminium vice jaws feature a vulcanised polyurethane coating, specifically designed to avoid marking or damaging the outer surface of the steel tubes.

 

Operational safety and technical management.

The system delivers a total power output of 4.4 kW and incorporates technical features designed to preserve tool efficiency and ensure personnel safety.

The cutting head is equipped with a cooling nozzle aimed directly at the circular blade—crucial for minimizing overheating and extending the blade’s service life during continuous operation.

The work area is enclosed by transparent safety guards. This setup allows the operator to visually monitor the cutting process in real time while remaining fully protected from mechanical hazards.
