In Europe, Regulation (EC) No. 1935\/2004 on Food Contact Materials (FCM) also applies to production plants, requiring that these materials do not alter the composition, smell or taste of the product.<\/p>\n<p>These standard references clearly define the quality required for welding preparation: a pipe edge free of burrs or deformations, perfectly clear and squared.
